I woke up early this morning, at the usual time with our usual morning routine. But Shawna and Adrian were a sleep in the second bedroom. A few hours later we were headed north. A few hours later we were home. A nap was needed and taken. We laughed about teapots {it's still awesome!} and a pair of pears.

The anticipation all day kept me giddy. It made focusing on work incredibly challenging. It had been two years. I was excited when the flight was estimated to land early, but then getting through customs and waiting on luggage took longer than anticipated. So I circled. We waved like mad when we saw each other. No airport pictures taken, since the authorities {lady wearing a bicycle helmet in the three wheeled vehicle with the flashing lights} were moving people along.

I'm so glad you're here, I said as I turned in for the night.
